Use Science to Manage Natural Resources
HOW YOU'LL THRIVE
With millions of acres of federal and state lands surrounding campus (as well as our own Lubrecht forest just 30 miles away), you'll DO hands-on land management and research projects. You'll work to solve natural resource and environmental challenges. Read about hands-on learning opportunities in each degree: Ecological Restoration; Forestry; Parks, Tourism & Recreation Mgmt.; Resource Conservation; Wildlife Biology
You'll apply rigorous analysis to complex problems like restoring wildlife habitat and responding to climate change. UM ranks in the top ten academic institutions in North America for research productivity in natural and conservation science.
You'll join a close-knit group that is small enough to help you meet your invdividual goals yet big enough to give you access to world-class teaching and research. Each year our college provides more than 70 scholarships, in addition to the many need and merit-based awards offered by UM.
